Winter Cod Fishing

By David Elliott

This is Jay’s mate of whom came out as 2 individuals on a Winter Cod Fishing trip on Ocean Warrior 3.

We managed to catch 17 Cod on the day.  Jay’s mate managed to catch 9 Cod on his own, which is good fishing for him for his first time out with us.

There are plenty of Whiting also showing along with Mackerel which has been better than the summer months.

We do Winter Cod Fishing trips during October, November, December and January.  This can be a relaxing and enjoyable day of fishing at anchor as we fish inshore during this part of the year.

Newhaven Charter Fishing

By David Elliott

We are back on the Newhaven Charter Fishing after being out of the water for a few weeks with one of the engines being rebuilt.

We got in a a couple of good trips out recently as the weather has been kind.

There have been some good sized Congers along with Turbot, Brill still fishing well while out on our Newhaven Charter Fishing trips. There have also been some nice Blonde Rays showing now as well.

This picture of ‘Scoop’ with a cracking Lobster of over 7lb. It was caught it while Conger fishing and caught it on a Mackerel flapper.

We are now starting the inshore Cod fishing and there have been some nice sized ones showing. It just needs to get a bit colder to bring the numbers up.

If you fancy coming out on a Newhaven Charter Fishing trip, call Dave on 07966 377145 or visit our main website for some more of our latest catches.
