We are back on the Newhaven Charter Fishing after being out of the water for a few weeks with one of the engines being rebuilt.
We got in a a couple of good trips out recently as the weather has been kind.
There have been some good sized Congers along with Turbot, Brill still fishing well while out on our Newhaven Charter Fishing trips. There have also been some nice Blonde Rays showing now as well.
This picture of ‘Scoop’ with a cracking Lobster of over 7lb. It was caught it while Conger fishing and caught it on a Mackerel flapper.
We are now starting the inshore Cod fishing and there have been some nice sized ones showing. It just needs to get a bit colder to bring the numbers up.

Colin’s crew booked up a Sussex fishing trip on the Newhaven Ocean Warrior 3.
They all had a good day while on their Sussex fishing trip on the deep water wrecks. Colin and his mate had 2 nice double figured Pollock on the first drift. They also caught plenty of Cod, Pollock and one nice Bass showed up for them, while they were out on their Sussex fishing trip. Colin had the biggest Cod of the day which weighed 15lb.
With plenty of Cod and Pollock under their belts, we decided to try a new bit of Turbot ground. We managed to then find some nice Turbot and Brill, along with a Monkfish of which we hardly ever see while we are on our Sussex fishing trips. We had good weather, good fishing and some good company – great day all round.

Sea fishing on Ocean Warrior 3 can be a great day out on the waters off the Sussex coast.
Ocean Warrior 3 offers a variety of sea fishing from the deep sea wreck fishing to sea fishing on the inshore marks. We also cater for all types of anglers when we go sea fishing.
Throughout the months of January to September we mainly go offshore sea fishing on the deep water wrecks throughout the English Channel. Then throughout the winter months we go sea fishing on the inshore marks for those big Cod on the baits. Wladyslaw Sikorski had a day out sea fishing on the inshore Cod marks and caught this nice 23lb Cod. It was his first time sea fishing and he really enjoyed the experience.
We can also supply rods and reels along with tackle if needed. We can also offer tuition on how to get the most out of your sea fishing trip.
Ocean Warrior 3 is based from Newhaven Marina, East Sussex, which is on the South Coast of England. So if you are looking for a sea fishing trip, call David on 07966 377145 for a chat to see what sort of sea fishing trip would suit your requirements.

Ocean Warrior 3 enjoys fishing the wrecks off the south coast. One wreck in particular is the ‘Mira’, which is a big wreck that lies off of the south coast of Newhaven. She is a British oil tanker which was built in 1901 and was sunk by a mine on October 11th 1917. She was laden with fuel and weighed 3,700 ton. During the summer months Ocean Warrior 3 likes fishing this wreck for big Bass by drifting over the wreck with lures. When the tide is in full flow, she throws up a large boil and a big scour on the east side of the wreck. The wreck lies on her starboard side and is 345ft long with a beam of 47ft. It is also a popular dive site and a good Bass wreck. This is just one of the thousands of wrecks to fish throughout the English Channel, especially in the Newhaven area.

Rab with a nice double figured Pollack, caught aboard Newhavens Ocean Warrior 3 off the sussex coast.
We were fishing offshore and drifting over a wreck using the gilling method, with a sidewinder lure. This sort of wreck fishing will start in the middle of January when we start running offshore to find the spratts over the wrecks. They are then followed by the Cod and Pollack feeding off them.
If you fancy booking up a days wreck fishing from mid January call Dave on 07966 377145. Check out my latest news page on www.oceanwarrior3.com.Google+

We are still catching some nice Cod on the inshore ground marks off the sussex coast out of Newhaven. This week we have been catching the Cod on smaller baits with worm and squid. The big baits of cuttle haven’t seemed to have been working this week. There are also lots of Whiting around, they seem to have got much bigger this week and have them to over 2lb, which are a nice eating size. The weather has been a bit kinder to us this week, but still waiting for it to get colder to hopefully see the bigger Cod showing once the temperature drops.
It won’t be long before we are back on the offshore wrecks of Sussex out of Newhaven to catch the bigger Cod and Pollack on the drift with lures.
We still have some spaces left for this year and are taking bookings for 2013, so if you fancy a trip contact Dave on 07966 377145.Google+
